GIVING IN MEMORY OF SOMEONE SPECIAL

Donating or fundraising in memory of someone is a very special and meaningful way to remember them whilst helping others at the same time. We are always incredibly touched and grateful to receive these donations and to be remembered by so many people.

Last year we received over £27,300 in memory of a loved one which helped to support many wards and departments across the hospital including the Maple Unit, the Oncology Unit, and Palliative Care.

You can support Yeovil Hospital Charity in memory of a loved one in a variety of ways:

  • Make a donation in their name.
  • Collect donations at a funeral or memorial service.
If you are collecting donations in memory of a loved one at their funeral, please speak with your Funeral Director about how that works and their process for making donations to your chosen charity. They will also need to ensure cheques are made payable to ‘Yeovil Hospital Charity’, even if you choose to make donations to a specific fund, which the Funeral Director can inform us of. Do you need collection envelopes? We can provide them and don’t forget any money donated is eligible for Gift Aid – the government scheme that allows charities to reclaim tax on donations made by a UK taxpayer. Gift Aid your donations, and they will be worth 25% more at no extra cost to you.
  • Take on a fundraising challenge in their name

We are here to help make this as easy as possible for you.

If you have any questions or would like more information about how we may be able to support your fundraising, please get in touch with us.
